Tooth extraction involves numbing the area with a long-lasting dental anesthetic and gently elevating the tooth out of the socket. There is little to no pain after anesthetizing. Before an extraction, our team will discuss options for tooth replacement with you.
Crowns & Bridges
Crowns and bridges involve shaving down the outside of the tooth so that a cap can be put over the tooth. In the case of a crown, this can help to preserve or save a tooth, or change the shape or color of the tooth. In the case of a bridge, the two teeth next to an empty space are shaved and two crowns or “abutments” are placed over those teeth connected by a fake tooth or “pontic.” Crowns and bridges look and function like natural teeth and are a long-term replacement if properly cared for.
Dentures and partials are a great removable option for the replacement of missing teeth, but these aren’t your grandma’s teeth! Each set of dentures are customized to your mouth. They will match any remaining teeth, will be comfortable to wear, and will stay in tightly.
We can preform a number of cosmetic procedures in the office to help you get the smile you’ve always wanted. Whitening, veneers, crowns and removable braces are all offered at our office. We will help guide you to find the options that work best for you!
Root Canal Therapy
Root canal therapy involves removing the nerve and blood supply from the canal of the tooth. Although you may have heard some horror stories, we can assure you that your treatment will be absolutely pain free and may be completed in either one or two appointments depending on the severity of infection. Root canals allow us to save and maintain your own teeth, which is always the best option in keeping your mouth healthy.
Implants are the best replacement for a single missing tooth. They involve a metal “screw” placed in the bone and allowed to integrate for 4-8 months. Once the bone has tightly grown around the implant, we will take an impression to have a lab-made crown that will fit perfectly on the implant and match the color and shape of your teeth.
